Last Friday at the Crownpoint Rug Auction
We had a great evening and enjoyed meeting a lot of the buyers at the Crownpoint Rug Auction. We had made some jewelry and had one of our Spider Rock design purses at our table. We also sold next year’s Weaving in Beauty calendars, which feature Laramie on the cover and some of our weavings on the pages. You can get an autographed copy from us if you’d like to and that will give you a chance to try out our Paypal shopping cart.
If you’d like, we will autograph your calendar!
Emily is busy working on a large commission for a collector. It’s a transitional design that is different from the others that she has done. Laramie is working on a weaving that is going to be made into a briefcase. She’s anxious to see how it turns out!
We have started to teach private weaving classes in the Chinle area, so please contact us if you’re interested! Of course we’re also getting ready for the holidays, like everyone else.
Below is a gallery of pictures from Friday night’s auction. We try to have work in the Crownpoint auction in the winter when other auction schedules are slow, so we’ll probably be there in January depending on how many weavings we have ready. Larissa and Laramie are both thinking about going to Diné College next semester!
